Some designs are hand carved in wax first and then cast. This is an ancient

technique called lost wax. It allows for repetition and resizing of rings.

Each piece is Hand finished in the studio to give it individuality.

Some of the pieces are ‘one off’. Formed from a piece of metal, They are

designed on paper then hand forged never to be repeated.

A piece of blackened or oxidised silver is 925 sterling silver, but it’s

surface has been intentionally darkened through by introducing it to a

liver of sulphur. Like other patinas, oxidised silver is just a surface

treatment and does not change the internal colour or properties of the metal.

It is only a surface treatment. Just the top layer of metal particles have

been given that blackened colour. Over time and depending on the

amount of wear you give your pieces, the oxidised finish will polish off

and the true colour of the silver will shine through. Giving silver a lovely soft antique look. To extend the time the piece stays dark, It’s best to remove your oxidised silver before swimming, showering or washing your hands to prolong

the dark colour.
